Graduated from the School of Medicine, Aristotelian University. Training in Neurology at Aristotelian University and Institute of Neurology, London, Neuropathology, Institute of Neurology, London, Catholic University of Louvain, University of Pennsylvania, Neuropathology of Auditory pathway, Harvard University, Electron Microscopy University of Pennsylvania, Neuroimmunology, Yale University. Research on Blood Brain Barrier, Mitochondria in Alzheimer’s disease, Synaptogenesis, Neuronal apoptosis, dendritic and synaptic pathology, Golgi apparatus in dementias. Special interests: Neuroethics, Neurolinguistics, Neurophilosophy, History of Neurosciences, Neurology and the Art. Member of 57 scientific societies.
